The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it is actually alarmed with regard to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to here access SASSA services.

“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company position produced for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for your Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to empower the servicing of all clients and increase sassa status usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.

For sassa status more information, community members can call toll free during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
